Prerequisites

Following are the prerequisites recommended by OpenLegacy, covering both hardware and software. It is highly recommended to verify and adjust where needed for each customer case.

Development Station Requirements

Hardware

Minimum

  • CPU i5, 4 Cores, 64bit

  • 8GB Memory

  • SSD with 10GB of free space

 Recommended

  • i7 CPU, 6 Cores, 64bit

  • 16GB Memory

  • SSD with 10GB of free space

 Operating System

  • Windows 10 64bit/MacOS 64bit

 Environment Configuration

  • User with appropriate privileges for installation of Java Development Kit 11 (JDK) and OpenLegacy IDE

  • Access to test/sandbox environment backend is beneficial

 Network Access

  • SSH access to the deployment server machine must be available

  • The development machine must have access to the backend host

  • The development machine must have access to the internet

 

 

Deployment Server Requirements

Please note that the following requirements are Server setups, and not for cloud environments, whether private or public (e.g., AWS, OpenShift, etc.)

 Hardware

 Minimum

  • CPU i7, 4 Cores, 64bit

  • 32GB Memory

  • SSD with 10GB of free space

  • Linux 64bit/Windows Server 2012 or higher 64bit

 Recommended

  • CPU i7, 8 Cores, 64bit

  • 64GB Memory

  • SSD with 10GB of free space

  • Linux 64bit/Windows Server 2012 or higher 64bit

Software

  • Ubuntu 16.04 or higher LTS

 Environment Configuration

  • Java Development Kit 11 (JDK) installed or sufficient privileges to download and install required JDK

 Network Access

  • SSH access to the deployment machine must be available

  • The deployment machine must have access to the backend host

  • The deployment machine must be accessible from the development machine

OpenLegacy Hub Light Requirements

Hardware

Minimum

  • CPU i5, 4 Cores, 64bit

  • 8GB Memory

  • SSD with 10GB of free space

Recommended

  • CPU i7 , 6 Cores, 64bit

  • 16GB Memory

  • SSD with 10GB of free space

Operating System

  • Windows 10 64bit/MacOS 64bit

Environment Configuration

  • User with appropriate privileges for installation of Java Development Kit 17 (JDK). Note that Java(TM) SE won't work.

  • Hub Light exposes port 8080, which should be accessible to access UI

     

License

Please note that when starting OL Hub Light, you will need to enter a license. Please contact OpenLegacy Customer Success for your license.
