IDE Portable Installation Guide for Windows

 

Prerequisite: 

  • Java Development Kit 11. 

  • If you are installing as a non-admin user, you might need Administrator permissions for the first run.

Step 1: Download the relevant OL IDE zip from the Download Portal.

 

Step 2: Extract the zip folder. 

 

Step 3: Create an .m2 with a repository. 

  • Create an .m2 folder in user home path.

  • Extract the .m2repository from C:\Users\username\Downloads\OpenLegacy-IDE-win64-portable-4.5.3  to .m2 folder. 



  • Change the name of .m2repository to repository

  • At the end, your .m2 folder should look like this:

 

 

 

Step 4: Update Openlegacy.ini



  •  Go to C:\Users\username\Downloads\OpenLegacy-IDE-win64-portable-4.5.3 and open the file openlegacy.ini

 

 

  • Add the following declaration:

  • -vm {your java home path}\bin

 

 

Step 5: Run the IDE 

  • Go to C:\Users\username\Downloads\OpenLegacy-IDE-win64-portable-4.5.3

  • Double click on openlegacy.exe and run the IDE. 

 

 

  • Click “More info”

 

  • Run anyway 

 

Step 6: Choose a workspace and launch.

 

Your environment is ready.
