How To Add Plugin To IDE
This guide will show how to add a 3 party plugins to OpenLegacy IDE.
Install Plugin Offline(No Internet Connection Required)
Download your desired plugin as .zip file and make sure it's a valid Eclipse Plugin, e.g. SonarLindt.
Navigate to
Help
→Instal New Software
.Click on the
Add
button.Click on
Archive
navigate to the location of .zip file and clickOpen
.Location input will get populated with the path to .zip file, and click
Add
.Select the desired dependencies to be installed and click
Next
.Inside the
Install Details
window clickNext
.Read and accept the license agreement and click
Finish
.Wait for the installation to complete, and
Restart Now
when prompted.To validate successful installation navigate to
Help
→Install New Software
→What is already installed
.If the plugin appears inside this window then it has been successfully installed.
Install Plugin Through Marketplace Plugin(Online Connection Required)
The first step is to install
Marketplace Plugin
, Navigate toHelp
→Install New Software
.Click on the
Add
button.Inside
Location
input, paste the following URL:http://download.eclipse.org/releases/photon
and clickAdd
,Wait for the component table to populate.
In the section
General Purpose Tools
, selectMarketplace Client,
and clickNext
. You can find this selection more easily by filtering the results.Review your selection and click
Next
again.Read and accept the license agreement and click
Finish
.Wait for the installation to complete, and
Restart Now
when prompted.Once this installation is complete, select
Help
>Eclipse Marketplace
from the main menu. A window opens that lets you search for and install plug-ins.
